If you have volunteered for langar seva, click HERE for the list of items that will help you plan your service.

Langar (Punjabi: ਲੰਗਰ, 'kitchen') is the serving of vegetarian meals at a gurdwara's community kitchen. Meals are served free of charge by volunteers, to all who come to the kitchen, regardless of their religion, gender or ethnicity.

People sit on the floor and eat together, no matter what their economic status -- king or pauper.

The kitchen is maintained for the gurdwara by its Sikh community.
